Osterias are wine bars that have evolved to serve simple meals. Traditionally, they are simpler than trattorias and usually have no menu. The offering changes daily, according to the market and two or three courses are offered for a fixed price, including wine.

An osteria (Italian: [osteˈriːa]; pl. : osterie) in Italy was originally a place serving wine and simple food. Lately, the emphasis has shifted to the food, but menus tend to be short, with the emphasis on local specialities such as pasta and grilled meat or fish, often served at shared tables.

Starting from the 15th century, the “Osterie” became increasingly numerous, meeting points for citizens and intellectuals. At the beginning of its history, the OSTERIA was just a meeting point where people could discuss and dialogue while enjoying good wine.

Osteria, owned by Valerio Iorio and Al Cefaratti, opened in spring; hours are 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Thursday, until midnight on Friday, and Saturday from 5 p.m. to midnight.
