Osterias are wine bars that have evolved to serve simple meals. Traditionally, they are simpler than trattorias and usually have no menu. The offering changes daily, according to the market and two or three courses are offered for a fixed price, including wine.

Osteria: In the past, an osteria was a place where locals gathered to play cards and drink wine. This type of establishment didn't always serve food, rather, an osteria was quite similar to a bar. Osterias have transitioned throughout the years and now they are closely tied to trattorias.

McWin Restaurant Fund is majority shareholder The third McWin Fund, the youngest in the company's history, becomes relevant for the majority stake in FR L'Osteria SE. The "McWin Restaurant Fund" (525 million euros) was launched in the fall of 2022 with the support of the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (Adia).
